Two Service Learning
classes are currently being offered at Longfellow Junior High School. Ms.
Langford and Ms. Hughes are teaching the classes. The classes participate
in a variety of activities that include recycling, community projects, and
school projects. Our recycling program is school wide. This allows students
to integrate with every student and faculty member at Longfellow. We also
use this as an opportunity to go into the community. Community projects
include mentoring elementary students at Garfield Elementary and providing
assistance to various special project groups and individuals. Finally, our
school projects include campus clean up, updating the messages on the school
marquis, and assisting the school faculty whenever we can. |
