Post-Retirement Salary Information:

UPDATE: Legislation effective July 1, 2017 removes the salary cap for retired teachers who have not worked for a school district in the previous 12 months. Enid Public Schools pays the median of the master-level pay scale for retired teachers in this situation, unless different terms are established at the time of the contract.

  • Retirees who are under age 62* and retired fewer than 36 months may earn the lesser of $15,000 or one-half of the final average salary used in calculating the retirement. 
     
  • Retirees who are aged 62 and older and retired fewer than 36 months may earn the lesser of $30,000 or one-half the final average salary used in calculating the retirement. 
     
  • Retirees who work full-time and have been retired for more than 36 months will be paid the following:

    Retirees who have a Bachelor’s degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the bachelor pay scale.

    Retirees who have a Master’s degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the master pay scale.

    Retirees who have a Doctorate degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the doctorate pay scale.


    *Based on the employee's age on the first day of the contract. Changes can not be made mid-year.
