The Event is slated for April 30
Next week the Enid Public School Foundation hosts its annual celebration, The Event.
The family event is scheduled for Monday, April 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Humphrey Heritage Village, 507 S. 4th.
EPSF is a non-profit organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees that supports Enid Public Schools. Proceeds from The Event, as well as other fund-raisers, benefit the organization’s Grants-To-Teachers program, which provides as much as $30,000 in materials and programs to schools every semester.
“The Event is a fun and safe event for the entire family,” said Janna Jackson, Executive Director of the EPSF. “It’s an event where the Foundation is able to showcase Enid Public Schools while also raising the funds to provide the resources they need in the classroom.”
The Event is an evening of musical and artistic performances, featuring EPS students of all ages. Bands, theatre students, orchestras, choirs and elementary groups will take the stage throughout the evening.
“It’s amazing to see the Enid community come together every year to enjoy great music, food, and fun while supporting Enid Public Schools,” Jackson said. “We cannot think of a better way to raise funds for our wonderful students and teachers.”
Tickets are $5, available for purchase at the gate. The cost includes admission and a box dinner.
The Event sponsors include Atwood’s, BKD, Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, Chick-fil-A - Enid, David & Marilyn Grissett, Dense Mechanical & Dense Comfort Solutions, Domino’s Pizza, Doug & Diane Frantz, Enid Firefighters, Enid Pet Hospital, Enid Public Schools, EPS*TV, Garfield Furniture – Downtown Enid, InterBank, Janzen GMC, Jason Marrs/Sonic, Jerry Blankenship, MD, Jim and Anita Trojan, John Stambaugh, CPA, Jumbo Foods, KFC – Enid, Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, LLP, Metals USA, Representative Chad Caldwell, Sturdevant Ice, and Tinker Federal Credit Union.
