EPS Teacher Career Fair Slated for March 5
Enid Public Schools will host its annual Teacher Career Fair next week.
The fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Administrative Services Center board room, 500 S. Independence. EPS administrators will be available to speak with potential candidates, accept resumes, and schedule interviews for a later date.
“EPS is proud to serve almost 8,000 students with quality educators and support professionals,” said Amber Graham Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Human Resources and Communications. “Our students deserve the best teachers in their classrooms, and we look forward to meeting potential new team members during the career fair. It is an excellent way to meet the principals and to get to know our schools.”
EPS provides a competitive starting salary, paying an average $3,800 more per step than the state scale, as well as a $2,000 signing bonus for secondary math, science, special education, and foreign language. Teachers receive fully-paid health insurance, and the district recently opened a childcare center for the dependents of employees, ages birth to 4. Additionally, administrators are committed to quality professional development for all employees.
EPS provides 1:1 technology for all students. A recent bond issue also resulted in improvements to every school site, along with more secure entrances, more classrooms, and a soon-to-be-opened, state-of-the-art competitive gymnasium and performing arts center.
