Certified Salary Details

Please Note: New and returning certified employees are granted their most recent year of service after negotiations with Enid Education Association are completed for the current school year. Their revised compensation package then reflects the newest terms of the certified negotiated agreement.

Post-Retirement Salary Information:

  • UPDATE: Legislation effective July 1, 2017 removes the salary cap for retired teachers who have not worked for a school district in the previous 12 months. Enid Public Schools pays the median of the master-level pay scale for retired teachers in this situation, unless different terms are established at the time of the contract.

  • Retirees who are under age 62* and retired fewer than 36 months may earn the lesser of $15,000 or one-half of the final average salary used in calculating the retirement.

  • Retirees who are under age 62* and retired fewer than 36 months may earn the lesser of $15,000 or one-half of the final average salary used in calculating the retirement.

  • Retirees who are aged 62 and older and retired fewer than 36 months may earn the lesser of $30,000 or one-half the final average salary used in calculating the retirement. 

  • Retirees who work full-time and have been retired for more than 36 months will be paid the following:

    Retirees who have a Bachelor’s degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the bachelor pay scale.

    Retirees who have a Master’s degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the master pay scale.

    Retirees who have a Doctorate degree AND no salary cap will make the mean of the doctorate pay scale.

    *Based on the employee's age on the first day of the contract. Changes can not be made mid-year.
