Classroom Disruptions

Maximum Classroom Instruction is the goal at Garfield. Teachers are encouraged to teach from bell to bell during the day. The students have a lot of learning to do and every time the class is disrupted it takes valuable teaching moments away. Good Morning Garfield begins at 7:45 in the gym and classes begin at 8 am. Students are tardy after 8 and they must get a tardy slip in the office and must walk themselves to class. When students are tardy to class they have missed valuable minutes. When bringing your student to school please say your goodbyes at the gym and allow your child the independence of walking to their classroom.

Parking:

Please do not park in the fire lanes at any time. If you would like to park in the back parking lot, please park in a parking space and not on the curb.
