Enid Public Schools is pleased to announce Jennifer Patterson as the new head principal of Waller Middle School.
Her duties will begin immediately.
"Mrs. Patterson's dedication and leadership as assistant principal have been invaluable to Waller Middle School,” said Dr. Dudley Darrow, superintendent. “Her elevation to the Head Principal at Waller Middle School is a true testament to her commitment to our students and staff, and we are confident in her vision for the future."
Patterson has been the assistant principal at Waller since 2017. She began her career in education in 1996 at Enid High School as a special education teacher. She then served as the English Language Learners Coordinator and then the Building Test Coordinator at EHS before going to Waller.
Patterson holds Oklahoma standard certifications in elementary principal, secondary principal, learning disability, mentally handicapped and mild moderate disability.
“It's a great honor to be given the opportunity to shape the future of Waller Middle School,” said Patterson. “I am passionate about shaping the lives of our youth and love the joy each day brings. With an amazing staff and truly great students, our potential is limitless.”
Patterson is married to Jeff and has two daughters; Camryn, sophomore at University of Arkansas and 2024 EHS graduate, and Cassidy, junior at EHS. Her family are members of Open Door Church and they spend their free time traveling to different sporting events. She has been named an Assistant Principal of the Year by Oklahoma Middle Level Educators Association and has served as their president.
Patterson replaces Robb Mills as the head principal after he was named the district’s Activities and Athletics Director last month. The position for assistant principal at Waller has been filled by Shannon Robinson, former counselor at Garfield Elementary.
