Enid Public Schools is thrilled to announce enrollment opening for EPS Academy, a comprehensive learning experience tailored specifically for EPS students that are needing flexible, alternative learning to succeed. Designed to merge the adaptability of digital education with the robust support of a traditional school, the academy offers students a learning alternative.
EPSA is structured to ensure student success through blended learning and quality curriculum while still staying connected to the EPS community. The plan details that while the student can choose to be fully online and work at their own pace a certified teacher is available in a brick-and-mortar school to offer assistance and tutoring when the student needs to schedule time in a supportive environment.
This avenue will provide flexibility for families needing it while also giving students essential skills, such as time management and digital literacy.
"We are proud to offer a learning opportunity that adapts to the diverse needs of our community while ensuring EPS Academy students remain fully connected to Enid Public Schools resources and support," said Dr. Dudley Darrow, superintendent. "Through EPSA, we are equipping students with both academic excellence and crucial life skills for the modern world."
As is the case with all EPS schools, the district will provide students with free breakfast and lunch while they are in the brick-and-mortar school, transportation if needed, and electronic devices. WiFi is available to students in need as well as special services to students that require them in an Individualized Education Plan. While there are no eligibility requirements for students to enroll, EPSA students will not be offered any extracurricular activities.
Enrollment for EPSA is open for students that are not currently enrolled at an EPS school. Current students must speak with their administrator or counselor if they are interested in EPSA. Parents and guardians can register their students by visiting enidpublicschools.org/enrollment.
