Enid Public Schools is reinforcing its commitment to a safe, secure, and balanced digital learning environment by announcing the launch of the GoGuardian Parent App.

EPS currently utilizes GoGuardian software to manage and secure school-issued devices during the school day. This new mobile application extends that management capability directly to parents and guardians when devices are at home. The initiative aims to foster a strong partnership between schools and families in guiding students' digital journeys.

“It is a firm commitment of Enid Public Schools to provide students with digital tools necessary to succeed while ensuring their safety online,” said Jeffery Herbel, EPS Director of Information Technology. “By introducing the GoGuardian Parent App, we are empowering families to assist with this endeavor within their own homes.”

The free application provides parents and guardians with direct insights and customizable controls over their child's school-issued device outside of school hours, including:

  • Activity Insights: Review your child’s recent search history, top visited websites, and classroom teacher interventions.

  • Customizable Filtering: Block specific websites or entire content categories during out-of-school hours.

  • Internet Pausing: Temporarily pause internet access on the device to prioritize family time, chores, or bedtime.

Parents and guardians can begin using the app immediately by following these three steps:

  1. Download: Search for and download GoGuardian Parent from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. Authenticate: Enter the exact email address currently registered with the district's school portal, PowerSchool.

  3. Verify: Click the secure link sent to that email address to verify the account and log in.

If the application states that an email address is not recognized, it indicates a mismatch with the district's current database. Parents are advised to contact their child’s school front office to update their official records.
