Local citizen Anne Ott has given a generous $50,000 donation dedicated entirely to advancing and supporting girls’ sports programs at Enid Public Schools. The donation will provide vital funding for equipment, travel, training, and facility upgrades, ensuring female athletes have the resources they need to excel.

With a focus on elevating multiple athletic disciplines, Ott’s contribution includes allocations for several programs, including: wrestling, basketball, soccer, swimming, softball, cross country, tennis and volleyball.

The remaining funds from the $50,000 gift will be awarded by the Foundation to other sports development, intramural equipment, and championing overarching equity in sports.

The targeted allocations will immediately impact the programs. The wrestling team plans to utilize its $15,000 allotment for upgraded safety mats and tournament travel, while the basketball and swimming programs will see immediate upgrades to training gear and timing systems.

"We are incredibly grateful for Anne Ott’s vision and generosity," said Janna Jackson, EPS Foundation Director. "This donation doesn't just fund our teams—it sends a message to our female athletes that their hard work, dedication, and sports are deeply valued by this community."
