Tomorrow, March 9th, will be the closing ceremony for our reading challenge. We are encouraging all students to wear red.

Families- Tonight, during conferences, we will have support from the enrollment office to help you complete pre-enrollment forms for the 26-27 school year. If you would like help, please look for the sign by the cafeteria.

Students across the district had a great Read Across America week! We had visitors from EPS admin to community members, from Enid High students to military members serving overseas sharing their love of reading with EPS kiddos.

We're so thankful for everyone who showed up for our awesome students this week!

We love our Maintenance Department! Today we are celebrating Maintenance Appreciation Day.

To our amazing staff behind the scenes: Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and skill that keep our schools clean, heated, air conditioned, and safe! We know students learn best in environments where they feel safe and cared for and our maintenance team is a big part of making that happen.

Garfield's Olympic reading challenge ends on Monday, March 9th. All reading logs must be turned in. Students have been challenged to read 200,000 minutes and will earn a school-wide hot chocolate party if we meet it. Today, students have read 140,000 minutes. They are really close. READ! READ! READ! We can do it!!

Friday, March 6th, is group picture day. Photographers will also be taking individual spring pictures. It is also pajama day. Students may wear their pajamas for pictures or they can bring pajamas to change into after their picture has been made.

Tomorrow 3/6/26, Garfield will have both spring pictures and group pictures. Since it is also pajama day, please send your child to school wearing the outfit you would like them to be photographed in. They may bring their pajamas to change into afterward. Thank you.

No running club due to weather.

Garfield hosted their first Wildcat Workshop for our littlest learners (PK and Kindergartners). Students and parents got to learn new activities to work on building language and vocabulary at home. They even made a craft and took home materials. Look for information coming home in the next few weeks. We would love more participants!!
